Word is Elton Brand is feeling like his old dominant self again

Elton Brand finally began to feel like his old All-Star self at a Los Angeles gym where summer pickup games featured some of the NBA’s top stars. Brand, Paul Pierce, Ron Artest, Emeka Okafor all played for hours, usually with no refs, banging and shoving and dishing out all kinds of abuse.

Brand had the power and explosiveness from his left leg that had all but vanished after he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon in 2007.

So what you’re telling me is that I can expect those monster 23 point, 15 rebound, 3 block games with a sick FG% again? Um, maybe for like 15 games. Watch out fans. Elton brand is one giant tease in both the fantasy and real worlds.

Pretty sure I’d rather roll the dice with Tracy McGrady or Yao Ming’s broken foot.
