There was a lot of action last night in the NBA and I couldn’t be happier that the season is underway. Garnett looks like he might be healthy again, agent Zero is scoring points, no one can beat the Lakers, and no the Cavs will not make it to the finals.
If there are a few things I took out of last night it were these (And then we can move on to Jeanie Buss): Ring Ceremonies are a complete waste of time. Did you see how pissed off Kareem looked? And come on guys. We really need to see millionaires collecting rings before they play in a game in which they’ll make like over 100 grand for playing in? Just give them the rings in private will ya?
Second of all. The Cavs clearly did nothing in the offseason. Rasheed Wallace will prove to be a much better acquisition than Shaq. I don’t think it’s even close. Lebron is gonna have to do it all by himself again. Honestly the Cavs could have used a Jamal Crawford esque type of guy. Shaq is too slow and I just don’t think anyone on that team is all that good. Mo Williams has his moments but he ain’t a star.
Rasheeda on the other hand. Still a great defender, can knock down the three, and will be one tough dude to handle when he’s fresh off the bench. I’m liking the C’s chances (though I haven’t seen the Magic play yet).
OK let’s move on to the good stuff

Since when was Jeanie Buss so hot? Way to go Phil Jackson! I love those high boots she was sporting last night. And you know that every single player that kissed her on the cheek must have been thinking “yeah I’d hit that” or “the Zen master knockin’ boots!”
Hell yeah Jeanie. She definitely was the spokesperson for cougars around the world last night.
And let’s talk about James Worthy. The guy is a handsome man. I loved seeing him last night. But a sweater/sweatshirt thing? Come on buddy! Clean it up. At least wear the 80s blazer that Michael Cooper was wearing.
