I’m not even sure how this is at all possible.  I really need someone to explain this to me like in great detail.

Nov. 22 at Air Canada Centre when the player who demanded out of Toronto after six-plus seasons will be … honored by the franchise as part of their 15th anniversary celebration.

The Raptors say they will first ask Carter if he wants to go through with a ceremony, realizing the back-story.

“Everybody wants to know how we can do it, but Vince is part of the history here,” Raptors General Manager Bryan Colangelo told the Sentinel. “Most of the people that he had problems with here are gone.”

Um, what?  Doesn’t Vince Carter get booed every single time he goes to Toronto?  In fact, aren’t Toronto fans the least forgetful fans in history given the fact that it’s 2009 and he’s still getting booed even though the Nets trade was done in 2004?

Put it this way, at least this will be the first ceremony surrounded by a set of boos in the NBA.  And what exactly is he being honored for anyway?  Winning the dunk contest?  Congratulations Vince.
