In a semi-pro football game last week, Mauriece McIver of the Las Vegas Cobras tackled his own teammate on a punt return.  How the hell does this happen?  Either Mauriece is an insufferable asshole or he’s an uncoachable moron.  Or he had money on the other team? He does play for Las Vegas…

This isn’t like returning a fumble or interception to the wrong end zone; McIver had to have known that his team was returning the punt.  This would be like Ron Artest blocking a hook shot by Pau Gasol.  Which, I guess I could see happening.
