Hideki Hatsui won the World Series MVP last night after the Yankees disposed of the Phillies to win their 27th championship:

Matsui’s eight RBIs were the most in a World Series since Reggie Jackson had the same total in 1977 and 1978.

“Just wonderful,” Jackson said. “He struggles to play the field now. Great, great player. Represents his country well. He’s a gentleman. He’s a class act. Great player and to put on a performance like that in what may be his last time in Yankee Stadium, you just tip your cap and enjoy it.”

I like Hideki Matsui.  A lot.  And it has nothing to do with his ability to hit a baseball.  I think he’s painted as this quiet, mature dude who comes to work every day like a true professional.  And from everything I’ve read and heard, that’s pretty much true.  But there’s one thing that everyone for some reason overlooks, and it’s also the main reason I root for Matsui.  Did you know that he has a gigantic pornography collection?  I don’t mean like 10 videos or something, either.  I’m talking thousands.  The guy is basically addicted to porn, and he even trades videos with reporters.  Speaking as someone who knows exactly who Audrey Bitoni, Nikki Benz, Tory Lane, and Amy Reid are, how the fuck can you not root for this guy?  Hideki Matsui may come from Japan, but I’ve got more in common with him than any other Yankee.  Congrats on your award Mr. Matsui.  You’ve made horndogs across the globe proud!
