Urban Meyer is on a roll!

On Friday, SEC Commissioner Mike Slive fined Urban Meyer $30,000 for criticizing the officials in the wake of the Georgia-Florida game.

This, another link in the Florida-Georgia debacle, comes on the hinges of the Brandon Spikes embarrassment. At this point you can’t do anything other than shake your head at the guy. Maybe the Tebow hit should have been penalized, but Meyer had to know he was going to get penalized, because league officials live off that crap! I feel like they giggle like schoolgirls whenever a coach critcizes officials, because they know they get to slap a massive fine on their ass.

Normally I sympathize with the coach, but after the way he handled the Brandon Spikes suspension, I could care less about his $30,000.

Then again, perhaps I’m just bitter because I’m so irrelevant that I can’t even get fined for what I say if I tried. That and his fine is more than I make in a year. Oh, and he’s an Ohioan (like myself) who destroyed the Buckeyes a few years back in the BCS Championship game.

Yeah… I’m bitter.
