With only a few weeks to go in the college football regular season we have six undefeated teams remaining, two of which are newbies to the game, and that’s TCU and Cincinnati. Ahead of them are your usual suspects of Florida, Alabama, and Texas. The point is, a TCU vs. Cincinnati BCS title game would be something exciting and new!

1. Yankees vs. Phillies

Pardon me, but I’m not going to wet myself in excitement over the idea of Florida playing Texas in a national championship game or any other combination of the three. It would be like a month ago when the Yankees beat the Angels and then the Phillies to claim the World Series (again). I cared about that Turnpike Series as much as I care about my best friend’s bowel movement cycle (yet he always tells me).

2. No Tim Tebow

Sure the media wouldn’t have God’s second son in Tim Tebow to herald, but the fan in my doesn’t care what the media or TV markets want. The fan in me wants to see something different in sports, and my hypothetical TCU vs. Cincinnati match up is more exciting than Tebow getting more hardware for his trophy case.

3. Cincinnati

The city of Cincinnati hasn’t had anything to cheer about since the Reds in the early 90’s. Sure, the Bengals are looking good, but it just takes another Carson Palmer knee injury for them to become the Bungals once more.

4. Texas Christian University

Without using Google or any other search engine out there, name something TCU won… ever.

5. I’m Bitter

Instead of being a grown up, I’ve decided I’m still bitter over Florida and Texas having their way with my Buckeyes. I still haven’t forgiven Florida (as if they’re looking for my forgiveness) for the thumping they gave the Buckeyes in the national championship a few years back, nor have I forgiven Texas for their last second win against the Buckeyes last year. As for Alabama… they haven’t had anything good since Martin Luther King Jr.
