Click on the photo to watch a goalie get what’s coming to him.
Say what you will about soccer, but watching this guy get taunted is hilarious.

Yeah sure Dick Vermeil did it but he was a stud coach. Now sexy Rexy is crying after a loss? Excuse me if I have zero sympathy and I hope none of his players do.
I was a little upset to see him that way,” Revis told The Post. “I’m upset for the same reasons he’s upset.”
Asked if he’s ever been a part of a meeting with such high-powered emotions, Revis said: “No, I haven’t been a part of a meeting where a coach cried like that. . . . In the future, I hope there are more tears of joy than the one this morning.”
And that’s exactly right. If you’re gonna cry at least do it after a big win. Don’t bitch and whine after a loss. Part of me thinks it’s the whole competitive nature thing like a Kevin Garnett. And part of me knows better.
Ryan is in his first year as head coach and you don’t just get this way. Whether it’s a ploy to get his players motivated or an attempt to get team brass to be impressed by his willingness to win, I for one just couldn’t take this guy seriously.
And what do I mean by this? I mean it in the same way I could never take Charlie Weiss seriously. Anyone who is supposed to wear mom jeans gets no respect from me if I were a player.
More of sexy Rexy after the jump

College basketball fans were ALMOST treated to an early upset with the nation’s number one team in the Kansas Jayhawks barely defeating a Memphis team who made this ranked vs. unranked game look like the national championship game a couple years ago.
”I can tell you this for sure: I’m 32 but I’m getting out at 35,” Memphis coach Josh Pastner said. ”I don’t know how these coaches coach until they’re 70. It’s unbelievable.”
That pretty much sums up the heart pounding action of this one.
Despite not pulling off the upset, this game was a reminder of what we all love about college basketball, which is the fact that any game can turn into an upset of massive proportions. With college football, the odds are obviously against the upset, since there are far less games. Plus in football, the juggernauts will always have someone really talented to get the ball to when worst comes to worst. In basketball, however, one bad shooting night and a college you’ve never heard of can beat just about anyone.
I want to hear from readers. Take a look at the schedule and tell us here at Unathletic who you think is just waiting to get handed an upset.

I mean, really – why does this guy get a free pass from the media? I haven’t read one article criticizing Bill Belichick for his decision to go for it on 4th and 2 on his own 28-yard line. ESPN has been completely mute on the subject. I just don’t understand. Belichick is one of the greatest coaches of all time, he makes a very questionable coaching decision, and nobody has anything to say about it? You would think there’d be at least a little bit of coverage on this, maybe on the back page of the sports section or as one of the last stories on SportsCenter. But no, nothing. No Belichick haters gloating over his failure, and no Boston fanboys defending his decision with a plethora of statistics. Zilch.
Obviously I’m being sarcastic. Coaches make questionable decisions all the time, but with all the media coverage on Belichick’s call you’d think the fucking Pope died. ESPN has asked every single one of their employees to chime in on this nonsense. Fucking Bloomberg is posting stories on this. Bloomberg. There are a lot of cool things happening in sports right now, but all anyone wants to talk about is this bullshit. Aliens could have abducted the President and destroyed Mexico, but ESPN wouldn’t acknowledge that until after we heard Herman Edwards’ opinion on Belichick’s call.
Please just go away, stupid story that I don’t care about.
I know I said not much happened in the NBA last night. I still stand by that claim. However, I was not aware of this shot against Detroit.
Carry on.

Well, not really. But Jesus, only the Mets:
As if the Mets didn’t have enough to worry about, they’re getting grief from a pro-Palestinian group because of a fundraiser taking place this weekend at Citi Field for the Hebron Fund, described by the Daily News as “a Brooklyn-based organization that funds radical Jewish settlers in the West Bank city.”
The group, Adalah-NY, says that the money will be used to support some 700 Jews squatting in the overwhelmingly Palestinian city, and they’ve asked the Mets to cancel the event, claiming that it contradicts the team’s commitment “to diversity and opposition to discrimination.” Adalah-NY’s website says that the event — slated to be held above the Jackie Robinson Rotunda — is “an insult to Robinson’s legacy.”
Apparently Adalah-NY isn’t familiar with the Mets’ practices of having designated nights for just about every single ethnicity you can think of. In addition to Greek and Korean nights, the Mets at one point had Pakastani night. Because we all know how much Pakastanis love baseball.
Anyway, nobody in New York is going to sympathize with a pro-Palestine group, so this little protest they’re planning is going to fall on deaf ears. Besides, we all know that Omar Minaya doesn’t discriminate against anybody except the whites. I’d love to antagonize these idiots who think that anybody is actually going to give a shit about their cause. Maybe dress up as bearded Mr. Met while wearing a black hat, tallis, and sporting peyos.
There didn’t seem to be too much action in the NBA last night but if you want to know about what’s going on here you go:
Yes, Kobe scored 40.
Monta Ellis is the latest in line on the trading block
Melo’s Migraine didn’t stop him from scoring. Am I missing much?
Oh yeah Mount Mutombo now joining the NBA again but as an ambassador.
However for some real fun action, just do any kind of search on Charles Barkley and you’ll be rewarded. The video up top displays what happens to Charles when he forgets his numbers. Although I have to admit that he’s got a point when he complains about the word “and.”
If I were to say something like “two words: done and done” I sure as hell wouldn’t count the “and” either. Although he does say Steve Nash and Baron Davis. That’s 4 words if you don’t count the and. Semantics or no semantics. Barkley is funny. And if you don’t have time to do a search? Check out what’s below.
“I’m on a diet, no more bull penis.“

Tennessee Vols coach, Lane Kiffin, is defending his decision to dismiss freshmen wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson and defensive back Mike Edwards from the team. Both were involved in a robbery last week.
After the incident occurred, I wrote about how bloody stupid those kids were for doing what they did, know full well they have scholarships to pay for stuff. It makes me wonder how much better they think their lives would have gotten if they got away with it, but I digress.
I hate to get all preachy and Americana on the readers, but we are a nation of second chances (of course certain crimes limit the potential for a second chance). I’m not defending what they did and the commend Kiffin for trying to run a clean program, but perhaps he could’ve come to another resolution. Perhaps he could have suspended the two for the remainder of the season and then see where they were at the start of next season. Continue Reading »
