If I were Mark Sanchez, I’d find all of this just a bit embarrassing.  From the New York Daily News:

In an effort to improve Sanchez’s sliding technique, Ryan brought in a guest instructor – Joe Girardi. The Yankees’ manager attended the Jets’ practice in Florham Park, N.J., addressed the team for a few minutes and gave a 10-minute tutorial to the rookie quarterback.

Girardi arrived with his own sliding mat, rolled it out on the artificial turf inside the fieldhouse and gave a hands-on demonstration, performing some of the slides himself. Sanchez did about 10 to 15 slides under the supervision of the World Series-winning skipper.

The fact that little kids across the country know how to slide properly and Mark Sanchez doesn’t is pretty sad.  What’s worse is that instead of the Jets using, you know, like a quarterbacks coach or someone else on the staff to teach Sanchez how to slide, they bring in Joe Girardi to pull Sanchez aside like some kind of retard.  Can you imagine what the other players must have been thinking as they watched their gimp quarterback sliding on mats while they practiced real football?  Just a pathetic display all around.

There are a lot of obvious jokes to make about the Jets hiring someone to teach Sanchez not to throw interceptions, but whatever.  I’m pretty sure in three years, Mark Sanchez will not be the starting quarterback for the Jets.  Sanchize?  What a joke.
