By now all of you have seen or read this quote:

“I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves,” Woods said on his Web site. “I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart.”

OK so we’re all aware of this Tiger Woods multiple affair situation. What you might not know is that ESPN just did a poll on television asking viewers if this incident is going to hurt or tarnish Tiger’s popularity and reputation.

An overwhelming 79% of viewers said “no.”  That means that indirectly these viewers are saying this his actions don’t warrant any less fame or respect from fans.  Interesting.  Sure they might be thinking of this in the light of rooting for Tiger an an athlete.  But don’t most of us also try and equate “Tiger the Man” to all of this?

For example I loved Michael Jordan as a kid but as I got older (especially after seeing him speak at the Hall of Fame) and realized how much of a dick he really is, I didn’t nearly like him as much.

You never know folks. Tiger might be a royal ass in real life.  In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if he is.  Then again if I made 100 mil a year and my wife started to become chicken (as all women do after some time) I might choose a different flavor now and then (Just kidding honey! I love you!).

Well it’s either that or ESPN fans don’t give a rats ass about athletes who cheat on their wives.  It’s probably the latter.
