In what I would consider to be a surprising move, 74-year-old broadcaster Dick Enberg is having a change of scenery:

Dick Enberg is leaving his national gig with CBS to become the television voice of the San Diego Padres. I wish there was a way to avoid the obvious pun of responding to that news with a sardonic, “oh my.” [Via Sporting News]

Now there aren’t too many moments that one can really single out with Dick Enberg but let’s just say it it were a major sport event he was probably there.   Odd that he’s gonna be calling the Padres considering that they suck.  But whatever.  It’s his home and you can’t blame the guy.
