Winter Storm Alabama

Schooooool’s! Out! For! The bowl game!

That’s right, students of Alabama will have class canceled in honor of their national championship appearance.

The university canceled classes from Jan. 6-8.

The school said Tuesday that students will have to make up for the lost class time. They have two days of classes upon returning from the Christmas break before getting another respite.

I’m not exactly sure how students will have to make up the lost time. I imagine it’ll be one of those days where the professor says “Meet up with your group at the library and work on the project,” which essentially another day off.

The ball is now in Texas’ court. What are they going to do for their students? Might I suggest they up the ante to days off AND a case of beer for every student who attends the game? (God, that was awfully bro-tastic of me).

I’m sure some parents who aren’t fans of the pigskin will be pissed off, but they should relax. Because unless I’m wrong, who goes to Alabama for academics? The last time I was in the state of Alabama I saw a list of the Ten Commandments typed out and printed on a piece of computer paper, which was then taped to the window of the gas station I was at.

Come to think of it, it might be in their best interest of they really do make up those days off…
