…When you read about a college football playoff bill passing through the House Subcommittee.

A House subcommittee approved legislation Wednesday that would force college football to decide its national champion through a playoff system.

The bill would force a championship game to solely be the result of a playoff system and ban promotion of such a contest in any other manner.

Good Lord!

I first heard about this a couple of months ago and thought it was a joke. But no. They really put everything else that’s (sorry, fellas) ACTUALLY important, because some people are pissed that Cincinnati, TCU, and Boise State don’t have a shot at the title. The thing is… I agree that there should be a playoff system. However, if I’m in charge of running and funding a couple of wars, passing healthcare legislation, and the slew of other problems on the plates of Congressmen, I’m not giving a shit about college football!

The legislation went through after a voice vote in the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee. There was one ‘no’ vote from Rep. John Barrow, D-Georgia, who was unhappy with the focus on college football with all that is on the plates of lawmakers.

At least someone could point out the ridiculousness of it all. Unfortunately that same lawmaker was probably instantly snickered at with taunts of “gay.” But what do I know? I’m just a guy who has a massive medical bill to pay, without health insurance. Ironically, the doctor recommended I watch college football to feel better…

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some video games to play before taking my sick grandmother to the hospital. …What? I have one more guy!
