I’m not a big twitterer dude.  I understand the concept.  I think it’s a decent way of going about updating the public on some stuff.  However, I’m just not quite sure about the appeal of twitter for a normal person who decides to write stuff like “just took a shit” 25 times a day.

Like seeing what a celebrity is up to is one thing (if you’re into that).  Even using the service for marketing is another.  But in general I can’t quite pinpoint any other reason to be on twitter that wouldn’t be a waste of time.

That said, when it comes to celebrity , Twitter can be very entertaining.  And when we are talking sports, there are certainly some NBA players worth following.   For the most part, NBA twitter accounts are like most and kind of suck.  But I managed to find some that are quite interesting.

Here are 6  that I think you should add immediately

Shaquille O’Neal – @the_real_shaq

With over 2.6 MM followers, Shaq’s up there as being a Twitter elite.  But it’s not his follower size that make’s him a fan favorite.  It’s the fact that he’s very personal, posts ridiculous photos of himself and you can tell the guy is just all around fun.

Brandon Jennings – @yungbuck3

Anyone who gets fined deserves a mention here.  Jennings actually tweeted during a game.  That’s absolutely amazing.  Clearly after the game Jennings thought it would be way cooler to tweet than to listen to his coach.   I hope he continues this trend.

Chris Bosh – @chrisbosh

Mark Madsen – @madsen_mark

Why?  Because he’s easily the biggest loser in the league and I really feel bad for this guy.  This is his latest tweet - I went SNOW-SHOEING here today….but there was no avalanche! Clean it up Mark you tool.
