We’re in the midst of College Football Bowl Season. The NFL playoffs are right around the corner and figure to bring plenty of drama. Kobe, Lebron, Melo, and Durant are fighting it out for NBA MVP and the Knicks aren’t in the toilet. The NHL is, well the NHL. Baseball season is right around the corner so here are 4 MLB Offseason quick hitters die hard fans should be aware of……
1.) Zach Greinke is AWESOME

Reigning Cy Young award winner Zach Greinke has won more than the Cy Young in his life. Somebody put this guy on a good team for crying out loud. He’s a 25 game winner with the Yanks or Phils. Greinke is a great comeback story. You gotta be something special to be a stud professional athlete, have a hot woman, and not have common man hate you. Keep up the good work Zach.
2.) The New York Yankees and the Winter Olympics
To get people to realize the Winter Olympics are this Winter the USA has put some of the returning Yankees starting lineup in various events..
1.) Derek Jeter – Figure Skating. Is there a more graceful guy in the bigs?
2.) Nick Johnson – Luge. He’s a big dude. He’d probably make it down pretty quick. Also, this guy steps out of the dugout and gets hurt so an event where you just lay there seems like a safe bet.
3.) Mark Teixeira – Hockey. Big looping swing, probably has a nice slapshot. One of only two white dudes. He gets the nod
4.) Alex Rodriguez – DNP. Failed Olympic drug testing
5.) Jorge Posada – Cross Country Skiing. From what I gather the longer this guy is out in the woods skiing and not on the camera talking, the happier the public will be. Plus he’s a catcher, he gets the most grueling event.
6.) Nick Swisher – Ski Jumping or Snowboarding. This one is two obvious. This dude is a nut.
I’ll admit, I used this post to inform people that the Olympics are actually taking place this winter.
3.) Theo Epstein may have trouble getting a date this season…

The Red Sox acquired Big John Lackey and probably boast one of the better pitching staffs in all of baseball. Unfortunately, with an aging David Ortiz and a pretty mundane lineup from top to bottom the Red Sox look to be competing with the Rays and Orioles to save face in the AL East. Fortunately, there is still time to sign Bay or Holliday, but right now all signs are pointing to a lonely summer with a lot of questions for Theo.
4.) Brace yourself Seattle……….

Seattle was once a quiet, low key, nice city…. then they dumped Carlos Silva for Milton Bradley. I, personally, would have let Silva throw bp to opposing teams then invite this shitstorm. Seattle is known for its coffee drinking. We’ve seen Bradley in various towns across the USA, now we get to see him hopped up on caffeine. Sweet….
