ed-hochuli

He’s got big arms.  He seems like a good guy.  Hell I wrote an article about the man a while back, but Ed Hochuli done made a mistake for Chris Johnson.

A day after becoming just the sixth player in NFL history to go over 2,000 yards in a season, Johnson was all smiles on Monday — until the subject turned to the controversial holding call on fullback Ahmard Hall.

The holding call cost Johnson a 62-yard touchdown run in the Titans’ 17-13 season-ending win over Seattle. With those yards, Johnson could have made a run at Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing mark of 2,105 yards.

Referee Ed Hochuli made the call.

Edward!  Chris Johnson still wound up with 134 yards that day but Mr. Hochuli easily could have let that one slide.  Johnson had his own take on the subject

“I think he grew up being a Dickerson fan, because he really didn’t want me to get that record. But it will give me something to look forward to next year — 2,105.”

This very well might be true.  Lord knows this probably isn’t the first time a referee missed a call in an NFL game.  But of all games it would have been nice to see big ol’ guns Ed be a nice dude.  Eh, it is what it is I guess.

I’m just excited to get first pick next year, take Chris Johnson and still have a really shit fantasy team like I had this year despite Adrian Peterson.
