A large congratulations are in order for Percy Harvin as he captures the AP NFL Offensive rookie of the year award:
Collect Harvin’s every contribution, all 2,081 yards of it, and it adds up to two obvious conclusions: Harvin wins the rookie award, and the Vikings win the guts award. They’re inextricably linked circumstances that helped carry 12-4 Minnesota to the NFC North title and a first-round playoff bye.
Not only did the Vikings take a shot on Harvin at No. 22 in the draft when others passed – Harvin had “character” issues in high school and college, remember – they hired Brett Favre, who made Harvin matter immediately as a receiver.
I would give a congratulations to Brett Favre as well but too many reporters have blown him all season already. But seriously folks, I don’t remember the last time a rookie receiver was this good and impacting on an NFL team. You have to appreaciate what this guy pulled off this season.
So as a tribute to Harvin may I present a few fun college pictures of the man as well as his high school tribute video. Way to go guy
What’s funny about this two photos is that these girls took the same ones with Tim Tebow. I also have a gallery of these girls on spring break but I guess I can save that one for a rainy day.

And now for the high school tribute.
He was pretty nasty
