How the hell can you people vote for this guy?
This happens every friggin’ year and every year it makes me want to puke. Are NBA fans really this pathetic? I mean since when does popularity and coolness count in terms of making a player an All-Star? Um, I guess like, always?
Tracy McGrady has gotten further from his six-game stint of cameos this season and his tenure with the Rockets, but he has moved another week closer to returning to the floor — as a starter in the All-Star Game.
In the latest voting update, McGrady remained second among Western Conference guards behind only the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, taking a slightly larger lead on Suns guard Steve Nash for the starting position.
Really guys? Second in voting? Like seriously second? Look, I’m glad that every year the coaches get to pick a couple of players to round out the roster but how about letting them vote on the whole game? Clearly fans are retards. There’s no other way to put this. A guy whose played 6 games gets into the All-Star Game? Come on! This isn’t a bash on McGrady personally. This is fact. The guy has had ZERO impact on the league this year.
We really need some new rules for voting on All-Stars please. Just take the fans completely out the equation and I’ll be very happy. Yeah there will be some arguments as to who should have gotten in but at least guys whose jerseys are top sellers even though they play 6 games won’t get in.
It’s dumb, period. And yet MILLIONS of people out there vote on these guys. Maybe I’m the retard for believing in skills to merit an All-Star selection.
