Mark Sanchez couldn’t resist when he was presented the opportunity to take a shot at Pete Carroll. The same Pete Carroll who is leaving USC at the perfect time. USC has been questioned several times about their recruiting practices over the past few years so I don’t blame Carroll for bailing. You know as well as I do that the public will view him, and the situation very differently if the shit hit the fan while he was still there. Out of sight, out of mind.

With all that said, Mark Sanchez is still a little bitter about his former coach’s opinion on his decision to enter the draft. It’s pretty obvious that Sanchez needs to grow up and eat some humble pie, but in this circumstance I don’t blame him one bit. Here’s what Sanchez said about Carroll’s decision to hit the big time….

“I just wanted everybody to know I completely disagree with his decision,” Sanchez said, unable to stifle laughter. “Statistics show that it’s not a good choice.”

Although, he said it jokingly and later tried to cover the situation. You know as well as I do Sanchez is still a little bitter and doesn’t have the relationship with Carroll he wants the public to think he does…

“I talk to Coach a bunch,” Sanchez said of Carroll, the former Jets and New England Patriots coach. “I told him I was going to hammer him about it. I wish him the best, whatever happens, whether he stays in school or not.”

Sanchez is on the right path to NFL success. The Jets handled he Bengals last weekend in his playoff debut playoffs. But for someone whose responsibility is to not throw interceptions and “manage the game” he needs to tone his shit  down (see above picture)……..except when criticizing Carroll.
