I’m sure you’re all aware of the season ending surgery for Blake Griffin.  If not, here’s a little excerpt that might make you as puzzled as I am.

He injured his kneecap in their final preseason game Oct. 23, wincing in pain as he landed after a dunk. After resting the stress fracture for several weeks, Griffin recently increased his workload in rehabilitation by running on an anti-gravity treadmill.

He developed pain in his knee, and an examination Tuesday revealed his recovery was not progressing properly

Seriously guys. What’s left for the Clippers other than somehow trading for Lebron James and him getting decapitated on his flight out to LA? There’s really no other explanation for this franchise other than they are somehow cursed.

I’m not a religious man.  I don’t go to Church or Temple on Sat or Sun.   I eat cheeseburgers and I take the Lord’s name in vain more often than I probably should.  I’m not convinced that Jesus is coming back at any time soon.

But having said all this, I don’t have any other explanation for this team other than some higher power acting against it.  And despite the fact that I don’t really like Bill Simmons, he makes some good points in his open letter to Blake Griffin.

The next time these guys get a number one pick, if I were that draft pick I would 100% pull an Eli Manning in 2004 move.  Just refuse to play there.  Seriously guys, avoid Clipper land.
