Everyone knows that Vince Carter is a pussy, right? Did Stan Van Gundy get that memo?
After the Orlando Magic’s 109-98 win over the Indiana Pacers at Amway Arena — one that featured a 6-point Carter performance on 2-of-8 shooting – SVG said this when asked about Carter’s continued funk:
“Look, it’s just too much scrutiny on one guy. That’s all we come in and talk about every game. ‘What did you think of Vince, what did you think of Vince?’ We played well.”
First off, the Pacers are atrocious, so beating them shouldn’t take scrutiny off of Vince Carter. But secondly, and more importantly, is it really unfair to place this much scrutiny on a guy who always seems to be gimpy and who has admitted in the past to not trying his hardest? Vince Carter may be able to dunk like a motherfucker, but he’s always been a pussy. He has more athleticism that 99& of the league, but all it takes is one hard foul to keep him out of the lane and chucking up 20-footers for the rest of the game. He didn’t try his hardest in the past and right now he’s slumping terribly. I think media scrutiny is warranted.
And let’s not get carried away, SVG. Tiger Woods is facing too much scrutiny. Vince Carter ain’t.
What I’m trying to say is that Vince Carter has always been and still is a gaping vaj. The Magic won’t go anywhere with him as their starting two guard; Turkoglu was a much better fit.
