The Big East has produced a lot of great pros throughout the years. Finding the All-Decade Team was challenging because there are tons of close calls. Obviously, there are some guys that deserve recognition that don’t get it because there are only five spots. Here is Unathletic’s Big East All-Decade Team……
PG – Randy Foye

Foye was the heart and soul of the Villanova turnaround. He led ‘Nova back to the Elite 8 in the 2006 NCAA Tournament. He was the Big East Player of the Year that same year. As a senior he avg. 20.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.4 spg.
SG – Troy Bell

Troy Bell could fill it with the best of them. He took down two conference player of the year awards (one with Troy Murphy), and finished his career with 2,632 points.
SF – Carmelo Anthony

Although it pains me to do this I have to include Carmelo Anthony. In his one season at Syracuse, he dropped 22 ppg and 10 rpg. He led the team in most statistical categories and to a National Championship in 2003. He was named the Tournament MVP.
PF – Luke Harangody

Gody gets the nod here over some stiff competition. He was named Big East player of the Year his sophomore season when he finished with an avg. of 20 ppg and 10 rpg. Last year he averaged 24 ppg and 11 rpg losing to Hasheem Thabeet and Dajuan Blair in Big East player of the Year voting. So far this year he’s averaging 24.7 and 9.2. The guy has put together a great career and deserves to be on this list.
C – Emeka Okafor

Okafor was one of the most dominant shot blockers in his time. He won the National Title with the University of Connecticut in 2004. He was named Tournament MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and Big East Player of the Year in that same season.
