pierce

Nobody actually thought his foot was broken, did they?  I mean, this is Paul Pierce we’re talking about.

The Boston Celtics announced on Tuesday that their All-Star forward suffered a strain of the middle part of his left foot on Monday and is day to day. That news came after NBA.com reported that he may have broken the foot.

No surprise here.  Sometime around the NBA Finals a couple of years ago, Paul Pierce stole the “milking an injury and/or contact for all it’s worth” crown from Dwyane Wade and hasn’t looked back.  It started with his “knee injury” in the Finals, when he was literally carried off the floor but was able to somehow miraculously return later in the game.  And ever since then, Paul Pierce has exaggerated any form of contact on the basketball court.

I DARE you to watch a Celtics game where Pierce isn’t writhing around on the ground for two minutes due to an “injury,” only to pop up and play the rest of the game.   It’s like someone breathes on the guy and he’s screaming and panting like he’s in labor.  An elbow to the chest and he’ll react as if he was shot.  I was watching one game where Pierce  was shoved underneath the basket.  He was pronounced dead at halftime; the Celtics had a funeral and everything.  Somehow, though, he managed to play the 4th quarter.

So what I’m saying is: of course he’s just day-to-day.  Paul Pierce is an enormous faker and should be ashamed of himself.  Mr. Wade, you have been stripped of your crown.
