It’s pretty amazing to think that Janikowski’s been kicking for the Raiders since 2000. He’s been pretty steady throughout, and as such, he’s being rewarded by Oakland.
Adam Schefter is reporting that the Oakland Raiders and Sebastian Janikowski have agreed to terms on a four year deal valued at $16-million, $9-million of which is guaranteed. The deal would be the largest contract in league history for a kicker.
It makes sense, in a weird way, that this is the largest contract ever for a kicker considering Janikowski was drafted in the first round. As solid and as durable as he’s been, there’s still really no excuse for that. After all, he’s a fucking kicker.
Janikowski must be real happy with this deal, though. $9 million guaranteed? Jesus. That’ll pay off a ton of cops and buy enough GHB to last for years. I still love that Janikowski gave GHB to himself. That’s like one level below pulling your dick backwards between your legs and trying to stuff it into your asshole.
