Haters gonna hate.  It’s that simple.

Ronde is still playing, more than three seasons after Tiki retired.  Though Tiki attributes Ronde’s longevity in part to the fact that Ronde has maintained the “desire and ability” to stay in great physical shape, Tiki has another theory, too.

“He can go 15 plays without working; he can go 15 plays without getting hit,” Tiki said of Ronde.  “He doesn’t realize that I had to work every play.  Just because I wasn’t running the ball on a play didn’t mean I wasn’t working.”

Wow, dude – your own brother?  Tiki may have a point in that playing running back is a far more punishing position than playing corner, but to say that Ronde wasn’t “working” on certain plays is absurd.  If Ronde isn’t working on plays, then Tiki isn’t working on some plays either, despite what he claims.  On a 3-step drop when the quarterback releases the ball before any blitzing linebacker can get to the line of scrimmage, Tiki isn’t going to have to throw a block; he can sit int he backfield with his hands on his knees.

Whatever the case, though, Tiki calling out his own brother is pretty low.  I knew Tiki was a hater, but he’s taken it to a whole new level.  It’s amazing how unlikeable he’s become since retiring from the Giants.  He makes Shockey look like someone I could root for.
