METS PHILLIES BASEBALL

Jose Reyes has received treatment from a doctor who is being investigated for supplying athletes with HGH.  Reyes isn’t accused of anything, but he revealed a bit about the treatment he’s received.

“They asked me if he injected me with that (HGH), and I said no,” Reyes said. “What we did there, basically, he take my blood out, spin it in some machine and put it back in my leg.”

I know what Reyes is talking about is platelet rich plasma therapy, but I love how someone is taking blood from his body, doing something to it, and then putting it back in, and Reyes can’t be bothered to learn the specifics of it.  The thing is, the very fact that Reyes is on the Mets means that there’s a chance he has received therapy that really does involve a vial of his blood being shaken by a machine.  Only the machine is a blender.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.
