Of course the owner of the Miami Heat really can’t say anything other than that he expects Dwyane Wade to return next season, but Heat fans should probably be encouraged by Micky Arison actually giving them odds.

“The bottom line is he has publicly and privately said that this is where he wants to be,” Arison said before Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. “I believe him. I’m 95 percent sure that he would be here next year. You can never be 100.”

Nice move by Arison, as not only is this the time period for season ticket enrollment for the 2010-11 season, but he also makes Wade look like a two-faced liar should he bolt for Chicago or something.  But really, does it make sense for Wade to be anywhere else?  Other teams may have the cap space, but if Wade wants to be competitive, properly compensated, and comfortable, he’ll stay in Miami.

Miami can pay him more than anyone else can (and keep in mind there’s no state income tax in Florida) and has the cap space to not only sign another star (like Bosh or Amare), but to build around Wade and another star.  And really, South Beach?  You think a newly-single Wade is going to choose Chicago when he can take his pick of the hottest women in the world?  Every single time I’ve gone down to Miami, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the women down there.  Fake as hell, yes, but physically perfect, too.  If I were a millionaire looking for places to stick it, I could do a hell of a lot worse than South Beach.

Anyway, I fully expect Wade to sign with Miami (and then fall down clutching his wrist after signing the contract, only to pop up moments later showing no signs of any injury whatsoever).
