Villanova forward Taylor King has been suspended by the coaches for the Big East Tournament. The reason THEY said “personal issues”. The real reason…. the same reason Mike Krzyzewski asked him to leave Duke University, failed drug test. Speculative reports have said King elected not to take a random drug test conducted by coaches after the Cincinnati game, and just confessed to burning some trees.

Jay Wright needs to step it up a bit here. This isn’t the first time his team has had issues this season. The coaching staff has decided to bench King for the Big East Tourney, well ok. The inmates are starting to run the asylum here, just like tons of programs around the country. They’ll keep their image up with the “personal issues” cover up, but something tells me there will be more news in the future, unfortunately.

The story was yet to be published as of last night. I was very interested to see what press is released about King, who is playing about 20 mins a game this season and didn’t play a minute vs. West Virginia on Saturday. Now the public feels bad for him… “oh man I hope he’s ok!” Don’t worry, he is.
