Normally I’d think it’s real – I’m not one of those cynics who shouts FAKE! at every image or video – but the fact that the kid is a senior, and that this is his final game…well, it seems like a pretty good joke to fake a wipeout just for the hell of it. I’ve watched this three times and I can’t really tell, but you’d think a hockey player wouldn’t struggle on skates. I’m gonna go with it’s fake and the kid – Zach Van Orsdel – has a very good sense of humor.

Zach isn’t a senior. He’s a Junior. And while he does have an excellent sense of humor, he’s not the type to do that.

Haha bro i was the guy that got called up right after zach fell and this is no fake, he’s a junior(same grade as me) and he has a different type of humor but would never try to do this on his own haha. during warmups the ice was pretty bad in some small spots in our zone. I think he just put his weight to one blade and it caught one of those bad spots and he ate it haha he got a lot of shit from our team and was funny. but this is 100% real believe it
