Maybe she’s a total liar, or maybe she’s a total slut who actually was assaulted but doesn’t value justice over the revelation of her whorry past. Either way, Big Ben’s alleged victim didn’t wanted to drop the case.
Lost in the much-hyped announcement that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger won’t face charges for sexual assault is the fact that, as District Attorney Fred Bright said Monday, the alleged victim’s lawyer told Bright on March 17 that she no longer wished to pursue the matter.
Bright said he met with the alleged victim and her family 10 days ago, and they confirmed that they did not want to pursue the matter.
When you accuse someone of rape, whether or not they did it has nothing to do with the accuser’s sexual history being put at issue. A girl who’s been with a handful of guys and maybe made out with another chick in college isn’t really going to care about her sexual past being made public. But a girl who has been with fifty plus guys, participated in gangbangs, received bukkake from the football team in high school and has let guys take filthy shits on her neck might be a little put off by having those facts made public. I’m not saying Ben is innocent, and I’m not saying his accuser is a whore. I’m just saying that her rationale in avoiding the media frenzy does not bode well.
