Did David Ortiz really think this was OK?

Rap superstar Jay-Z is suing Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz for naming his Dominican nightclub after his chain of “40/40″ clubs.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Manhattan Federal Court, accuses Ortiz of naming his Santo Domingo club Forty-Forty in the hopes of trading in on the rapper’s fame.

It’s not like David Ortiz steals bases, so 40/40 doesn’t really work for his club in the context of baseball.  I love the timing of this lawsuit – Jay-Z kicking Ortiz when he’s down and out as the Red Sox DH.  Pretty sure the dude is going to kill himself at some point this season.

I blame the Boston fans, by the way.  If you continue to cheer for a fat roider even when he’s hitting below .200, he’s going to think he can do anything he wants and it’s going to be OK.
