After the game, when you said, “If he does it again, there’s going to be repercussions…” I don’t want to put words in your mouth, but I said, “Where Dallas comes from, the 209, they don’t settle things with message pitches, they settle them with knuckles.” Is that what you were talking about?
Dallas Braden: Well, I mean that’s pretty much the long and the short of it. You know, on a serious note, obviously there’s things that are going to have to happen — just out of respect for my teammates, out of respect for the game. I think he’s probably garnered a new respect for the unwritten rules, and people who hold them close to their game. But yeah I think you’re right — we don’t do much talking in the 209.
Ugh. I’m getting retard tingles. Anyone using his area code as a sign of toughness either isn’t tough or is a fucking moron. Unless Dallas Braden is going to throw at A-Rod the next time he faces him, he should really keep his mouth shut. Besides, A-Rod is a monster and would kick the shit out of him.
Really, though, this is like Koko B. Ware calling out Hulk Hogan. Why would Hogan even give a shit what Koko and his stupid bird have to say? It’s the same thing here…Braden is some yoker calling out one of baseball’s best players for some dumb shit about running across the mound. Like it’s news that A-Rod is an asshole? Either throw at him or just shut up and go back to the 209, tough guy.

So whether or not Unathletic staff are yankee or A.Rod fans one only thing remains. Dallas Braden put himself into MLB history Sunday as he became the 19th pitcher to throw a perfect game. Against any team this is an near impossible feat, however Braden appeared in his 53rd career start and threw 109 pitches, 77 strikes against the 1st place Tampa bay Devil Rays. Braden is really sticking it to A-Rod, huh? Give me a break. Nice job of grandma to be more concerned with A-Rod than her own grandson, too, as evidenced by her “Stick it, A-Rod” comment. Pathetic. People will remember Braden more for running his mouth than for what he did on the field, which is a real shame.
And I’m not a Yankee fan, I just don’t hate A-Rod like the rest of the world does. Braden’s a douchebag, but I guss even a douchebag can throw a perfect game.

Dude, I’m a Marlins fan. Always have been (since, uh, 93 at least) and always will be. I do like A-Rod quite a bit, though, and wouldn’t mind seeing some purple lipstick on my member.
