From TMZ:

The Timberwolves big man — who’s of legal drinking age by the way — hit up his uncle Mike’s crib (yes, Mike Love….lead singer of the Beach Boys)… and whipped out the booze, solo cups and ping pong balls recently.

Here’s the rub — while Love is usually a pretty good shot on the court, we’re told his team lost on the table … ’cause Love couldn’t nail down the range.

Still, our source says Love was a good sport — and even cracked another beer with his opponents after the game.

What the fuck, man?  Kevin Love plays beer pong and TMZ reports on it?  Wow.

But it’s not even the fact that TMZ considers this newsworthy that gets me.  It’s that according to TMZ, Kevin Love was a “good sport” and drank with his opponents after the game.  Really?  That’s pretty amazing!  Because had TMZ not reported that, I would have thought for sure Love was playing an underground beer pong game with some Russians he didn’t know and after throwing a tantrum because he lost, refused to drink with those commie bastards.

In other news, Udonis Haslem shot some pool with a friend.  Udonis lost, but he was a good sport and didn’t break the stick over his friend’s head.  He also drank a beer afterwards.  News.  Matters.  Relevance.

Not even joking when I say that I am amazed that Paul Pierce didn’t fall down and clutch his ankle or knee after getting Mo Williams’ man milk all up in his eyes. Honestly, Paul Pierce is the only guy in the NBA who thinks the refs give out yellow and red cards.

You drafted him high. Before the season started your team looked so sexy because this guy was in the lineup. Now, you’re way out of first place and your patience has been tested to it’s limits. Don’t worry you aren’t alone. Here are 5 guys fucking up your fantasy universe. Will they eventually reward your patience?

USC_Gamecocks_7

If you happen to be a Trojan fan then you may have gotten your first glimpse of Lane Kiffin and his lying assholish self at the 2010 Trojan Spring Game.  Trojan fans got their first peek at the 2010 USC football team at this Saturday’s (May 1) USC Spring Football Game in the Coliseum.  Kickoff was at noon, with the gates opening at 11 a.m.

Tickets cost $10 (children 12 and under are free).   Tickets cost 10 bucks?  Really?  To see a practice game?  Honestly that’s not very cool.

You know what’s cool?  The other USC.  Yes, the South Carolina one.  They have their own spring activities and it turns out the Gamecocks gals were out in the sunshine the other day.

All Yankees fans, including myself, thought it would be different the second time around. We looked at the numbers since the incident, we saw the K’s, and even though it was mostly in the National League we bought in. This time around was going to be different, no pressure, end of the rotation perfect fit to make in happen in New York.

We’ll we were wrong…..

Javier Vazquez’s second go around with the Yankees has been nothing but a disaster. What’s worse is all he needs is a great outing and some fan support, but he can’t even get that. With every unmerciful booing off the mound it’ll get worse and worse. Vazquez has this to say…

“It’s frustrating, I can tell you that. It’s embarrassing the way I’m throwing the ball.”

Well, that’s true. Listen Javy, the Yankees are winning you have a chance to right yourself and almost, ALMOST, go unnoticed. If the Yanks were sputtering the fans would want your head. One has to believe, the best is still yet to come, but his 9.78 ERA is murder. Girardi is now thinking about skipping his next start because it’ll be against the Red Sox, and the Yanks have a day off.

God forbid Tex, Nick Johnson, and Javy start playing good ball. The fact that the Yankees are 16-8 with those three guys and A-Rod not really hitting is pretty decent. Cano and Hughes…. whoa

Not surprisingly, LeBron James won the NBA’s MVP award for the second straight year.

James received 116 of a possible 123 first-place votes to win in a landslide over Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant, who was picked first on four ballots. Orlando center Dwight Howard received the other three first-place votes and finished fourth.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant had no first-place votes and finished third.

Going into this season, I thought Kobe was the best player in basketball, but I don’t think that’s the case at all anymore.  LeBron has become a great defensive player, and he’s dominating the game offensively like no one I’ve seen since Jordan.  It’s amazing to think he can totally take over and he still doesn’t have a post up game yet.  My question is this – how many MVPs in a row is LeBron going to win?  Because Kobe isn’t going to get any better, and I really don’t think Howard is capable of having a season good enough to beat out LeBron for the MVP.

The only guy who’s a threat is Durant, and I’m glad he’s already received enough recognition to finish second in the voting.  The thing is, Durant is only 21, and he’s better than LeBron was at 21.  It’s hard to imagine a player being better than LeBron in just a few years – especially since LeBron keeps improving, too – but there’s never been a player like Durant.  My prediction?  LeBron wins again next year, then Durant starts his streak.  No one else is in the conversation for the next 7 years.

bosh

Who should decide where Chris Bosh should sign?  Bosh himself?  His family?  His agent?  No, the morons that are the general population.  From Bosh’s Twitter:

Been wanting to ask. Where should I go next season and why?

I don’t actually believe that Bosh is going to let the public influence his decision as to where he should sign; I have a bit more faith in his intelligence and business savvy than that.  If he wants to win and get paid, he should sign with Miami (assuming Wade stays, which he will) or Chicago.  If he wants to be viewed as a 12-year-old girl who wants attention, he should probably ask the public via Twitter.
