I am a big fan of posting articles for athletes when they do something damn good. Chad Ochocinco did something damn good. For all of his bravado, and nonsense the video you are about to watch will give you a glimpse into the real person. The one that exists behind the show.

Buster Olney said that Jimenez’s fastball is the most dominant pitch in the Major Leagues today. Listen, what he’s doing is great, amazing in fact, but wouldn’t at least a few people have seen this coming? Jimenez was improving every year, but now he’s freakishly good. Like best start ever good…. and the fact nobody saw this coming doesn’t suggest sustainability

For those who aren’t aware, my squad in International play, aside from the U.S.A., is the Elephants from the Ivory Coast. The Cote D’Ivoire has traditionally been an underachieving bunch. They laid an egg in the African Nations Cup and somehow love to get screwed in groupings in the World Cup. The team itself is extremely talented. Could this finally be the year they make noise?
They’ve got a good coach in Sven Goran Eriksson, and are led by a bunch of talented players such as Didier Drogba (Chelsea), Salomon Kalou (Chelsea), Emmanuel Eboue (Arsenal), and the Toure Brothers. Coach Eriksson has just recently trimmed the squad by cutting notable 2006 team members Bakari Kone, Emerse Fae, and Gilles Yapi Yapo.
The Group of Death features Brazil, Portugal, North Korea and the Elephants. Brazil and Portugal are top tier squads and the favorites to progress to the knockout phase. Is the Ivory Coast capable of progressing? Yes. Will it happen? Most likely not. They are as talented as any team up front, it’s the organization from the back that needs some help. They have a knack for underachieving. We’re close to the opening game, hopefully the Elephants can make some noise in 2010.

The Pacers are not going to be making noise in the NBA anytime soon and apparently their cheerleaders, the Pacemates are kind of taking a breather as well. When they’re not busy being hot and just you know…being hot they are gearing up for team tryouts which take place in July. So they got that going for them…which is nice.
Other than that I’m not really sure what to say. Maybe they should try having Larry Legend back on the bench. That would get attendance numbers up.
Who the hell is on that team anymore? Danny Granger? I think he might be the only player I know on that team.
Well, there is a lot to be said about this story. What is being said is that these 2, repeat 2, pushups that Robby Ginepri did during his match with Novak Djokovic “turned” the tide of the match and that is why he lost. It wasn’t because he was the 98th player in the world and Djokovic is the 3rd Ranked player in the world. It was because he did 2 pushups after slipping on the clay. Dude, Robby, there is no need to feel foolish over this matter. You had a great run in the tournament. Djokovic is pretty good, no need to stop the pushups bro.
In honor of the Blackhawks playoff run, engineers added red dye to the Daley Plaza fountain. Well, clearly they didn’t have this one thoroughly designed because the fountain turned pink(above). People strolling past thought the fountain was a dedication to breast cancer.
Well, they drained the fountain and gave it a shot. This time it worked out(Below). The only problem is it looks like someone was murdered in the fountain. Number of times a kid walked by and said the fountain looked like blood… Hmm probably a lot. Cool idea, next time let’s just hang a banner dudes.
