marcus-jordan-mj-son

Look at UCF jersey-chasers! Here comes the Jordan Brothers. Jeffrey Jordan has tweeted that he will be joining brother Marcus at UCF after playing two seasons at Illinois. Jeffrey will have to sit out a year before he and little bro can take UCF to the National Championship. Well, not soo much.

News came down through Twitter when Jeffrey Tweeted, he was off to UCF his “new school”. While Marcus had tweeted “officially here” about his brother. Neat right? Doesn’t Michael have eligibility!! Now that would be news worthy.. and yes, I know Michael can’t enroll and play college ball. Thanks

Go UCF!

This is kind of a disappointment. I rather enjoy Carlos Zambrano spazzing out from time to time. It’s amazing how it was tolerable when the guy was actually a good pitcher, but man has he gone south in a couple years. You want to talk about shitty contracts Zambrano got about $90 million over 5 years and in return the Cubs have gotten nothing but a comedy show.

It’s also astonishing how some teams have such a tough time admitting mistakes. We all know that Zambrano was once an elite pitcher, but when do you say when. Quite frankly, the guy is an embarrassment to the entire organization. I know it would suck to let him walk and half to pay him. These contracts professional athletes sign are something. To this day, we the public continue to wonder why athletes behave the way they do in public life. I mean look at Big Z, the guy is doing the equivalent to walking around the office with his pants down and taking a shit on his desk, yet he’s not getting fired from his job.

Oh Well. I love the spaz outs from Big Z. I also love that he went to dinner that night with Ozzie Guillen. Absolute joke.

Click on photo to read more about Upton and Longoria’s little scuffle

As far as I’m concerned Upton should be kissing Longoria’s ass. Subtract his stolen bases and a few nice plays in the field, and the guy is a total waste of time. Longoria, on the other hand, is a slumping stud.

Four All-Americans were taken in the first 5 picks in this year’s NBA draft. One All-American has to bust his ass to make an NBA team. Scottie Reynolds, the first ever All-American not to be drafted, appears to be headed to summer camp with the Phoenix Suns.

Reynolds, the captain of Villanova’s squad in 2009-2010, averaged 18 points and 3 assists on his way to being elected as a first team All-American. Reynolds has captured dozens of awards in his four years on the Main Line while finishing 2nd all-time on Nova’s scoring list, but he’s still going to have to sing for his supper.

The Suns are certainly excited at the opportunity to sign Reynolds. Size was the main reason he didn’t get drafted, but he showed grit and a lot of talent throughout his college career. My guess is he hangs….

Victor Hanescu apparently can’t handle the heat. Hecklers finally got to the Romanian, who was fined $15,000 for his actions in his 5 set loss against Germany’s Daniel Brands. Hanescu said of he incident,

There were people in the crowd that had been insulting me since the beginning of the match,” Hanescu said in a statement issued by the ATP. “I lost my control briefly in the fifth set after another insult from someone in the crowd. I should have never done that, but I am human and I made a mistake.

After going down 3-0 in the fifth set, Hanescu retired citing injury. His fine was $7,500 for his conduct at Wimbledon, and another $7,500 for not putting forth his best efforts in the match.  His fine will be deducted from the $47,000 he made for reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon.

Poor Victor getting heckled. Come on, man. With that said, who goes to Wimbledon to talk shit to players…

Omaha_Nighthawks_Cheerleaders_1

Is everyone ready for UFL Games??!???  Neither am I.  But since I’m getting bored of posting chicks from the major sports leagues I wanted to find some lower end cheering squads with the same amount of talent.   It might not be the spotlight.

They might not be shaking their asses for Jack Nicholson.  But these girls work hard.  And no harder does it work than in Omaha where the Nighthawks Cheerleaders are not messing around.

Landon-Donovan

As the lead man of the United States national team, Landon Donovan gets plenty of attention domestically. Now, he’s getting some attention across the pond. Manchester City, the richest team in the English Premier League, have scouted Donovan extensively throughout the World Cup. At the moment there is said to be “significant interest” from the club.

Donovan is set to make about $2 mil with that LA Galaxy. This would also involve a $12 million transfer fee that would be split between the Galaxy and the MLS. Manchester City would likely sign the player around $4 million a nice pay increase. Donovan has experience in the EPL playing for Everton this past season.

Man City, who have already signed Robinho, Carlos Tevez, and Emmanuel Abedayor, is also looking to sign David Silva as an attacking midfielder. Silva coupled with Donovan on the outside with their current personnel and Man City would be in strong consideration to finish in the top 4 next season.

NBA_Finals_16

It was a great year for the NBA.  In fact I’m a little mushy about it.  And since it’s time to welcome a new crop of players into the league (man this year’s draft is gonna suck) we might as well do a season recap…in cheereladers.

The outfits got better.  The appearances in calendars, photo spreads, foreign countries, and in our hearts were plentiful.  And most importantly, these women cheered their guts out.

In honor of these women, here are 15 memorable NBA season cheerleading photos….
