What? You thought I wouldn’t lead this article with a guy from the Big East? Get Real. With that said, there isn’t much coming out of the conference in this years NBA Draft. Here’s how were projecting the NBA Lottery
1.) Washington Wizards – John Wall (Kentucky) Well, Duh
2.) Philadelphia 76ers – Evan Turner (Ohio State) I don’t really care about the current personnel. This kid is a baller, and a great pick here.
3.) New Jersey Nets – Derrick Favors (Georgia Tech) They’ll be praying for a shake up and Turner, but I guess I have to start to believe Derrick Favors has the upside everyone says he does. Lopez and Favors could be tough. Lot of talk about Wes Johnson with the 3 and 4 pick.
4.) Minnesota Timberwolves – Demarcus Cousins (Kentucky) Someone is going to bite on this guy. I, personally, think he’s a d-bag, but he’s got it all and he’ll be too tempting to pass up. Here comes the headache. May go Wes Johnson, but they’ll be seduced by potential.
5.) Sacramento Kings – Greg Monroe (Georgetown) I think they will also want Cousins, but I’d be happier with Monroe. Give him a couple years please.. I love this guy’s game
6.) Golden State Warriors – Ekpe Udoh (Baylor) Another team probably hoping for Monroe or Cousins. Udoh looked real good end of last year.
7.) Detroit Pistons – Ed Davis (North Carolina) I think the first mistake of the draft goes here.
8.) Los Angeles Clippers – Wesley Johnson (Syracuse) Every year one guy falls. I think it’s Wes just because of fitting purposes. Clips start to build a nice nucleus. Odds are he’ll go higher, but that’s what everyone is picking.
9.) Utah Jazz – Xavier Henry (Kansas) I think Utah tries to get sexy here and passes up a couple sure things.
10.) Indiana Pacers – Cole Aldrich (Kansas) Kansas boys go back-to-back here. I like this fit. People are saying biggest bust of the draft. Why?
11.) New Orleans Hornets – Luke Babbit (Nevada) Cue your reliable shooter that Peja never turned out to be
12.) Memphis Grizzlies – Patrick Patterson (Kentucky) One pick late for a team hoping for Babbit. This dude is a solid NBA ready player
13.) Toronto Raptors – Daniel Orton/Hassan Whiteside (Kentucky/Marshall) I know this is illegal but the Raptors are gonna reach a little for a big man. Orton’s stock is falling, so we may see Whiteside.
14.) Houston Rockets – Al-farouq Aminu (Wake Forrest) Skilled player with a lax attitude. He may slip further.

It was an emotional day in South Africa as the host team beat France but failed to advance on goal differential. It was a helluva an effort and the host country has nothing to be ashamed of. So far the country itself has been a spectacular host.

Kid can’t take a little heat, then has his mom or whoever that is stand up for him. This would represent another kid who’s future is looking bleak. You heard it hear first at Unathletic

Well. The NBA finals are over. We’ve got to wait a little bit until draft day. And it won’t be long before the Lebron sweepstakes finally come to a close (personally I don’t care where he goes and as a Knicks fan I really don’t want him in NY). But until all this excitement starts we must still look at the goings on in the NBA.
Specifically cheerleading. The Wizards girls have had a busy offseason as they are trying to slim down their applicants for next year’s squad. I gotta say the candidates were a little average considering how hot the actual team is.
You be the judge….
This has to be one of the ultimate kick in the nuts. First, there is a huge crowd here for this dodgeball game. That is alarming and a different topic for a different time. Second, the kid was already OUT! He already got hit. Kid gets beaned and the crowd erupts. This will most definitely cause some kind of issue later on in life.

Every now and then a professional sports figure is made to look stupid without even doing anything. After the Senators were ousted from the playoffs word began to spread that All-Star centerman Jason Spezza wasn’t a happy camper. He met with GM Bryan Murray, and then the trade rumors began to fly.
Some fans don’t want him gone, and I do mean some. There were several Facebook groups assembled in an attempt to rally and “Keep Jason Spezza in Ottawa”. It was decided a rally would take place to not only keep Spezza in Ottawa, but to show support for the Sens. Well, 15 people showed up. 15.
It was written it’s probably not a good sign when fewer people than your jersey number show up. (See picture above) It’s a shame because Spezza is a talented player and unfortunately his name was tied to this disaster. Maybe people were confused about the time and place…………….
