This business is simple. Try and put together interesting articles that the public wants to read. Sometimes you have to be funny, and sometimes you have to report breaking news. A lot of times you fail at both. This is really neither, but I felt the need to show Ghana love. The last African team in the World Cup put together a valiant effort, but fell just short on PK’s to Uruguay.  It was a tough ending to watch, as not only the players and the country, but the continent of Africa, who have graciously hosted the World Cup, felt heartbreak.

Asomoah Gyan put forth a tremendous effort throughout the tournament and will certainly be rewarded on the club level at some point. I give that guy a lot of credit after missing the game winning penalty, to step up and nail the next one. For certain, that penalty kick would have put Ghana through, but Ghana wouldn’t have been there without Gyan’s efforts.

The World Cup has been fabulous up until this point, and it’s not over yet…..
