Former Super Bowl hero and marksman, Plaxico Burress has applied for work release for the second time during his two-year prison sentence. The former wideout was denied in his first attempt by the New York Department of Correctional Services because of the nature of his crime.
Apparently, Plax isn’t enjoying himself in prison because he’s written letters to everyone but Santa Claus to get the hell out of there. The good news is he isn’t receiving any star treatment. I’m sure he thought he’d get some kind of hook up.
Plax will be 33 next month, but still has a good chunk of time left on his sentence. Be sure that you will hear his name float around for the 2011 NFL season. Afterall, the NFL is an equal opportunity employer, who believes in second chances and rehabilitating those with troubles. UmHmm.
