Every season there are players in the fantasy baseball world that are worse than the girl who won’t have sex with you after five dates. I mean at least with these girls you kind of know when to quit right? But not baseball. There are some guys you’re just convinced will be good every single game because of one game where they exceed expectations.
This happens mostly with pitching. You’ll have a guy who lets up 8 runs in an inning against a shit team one day and then he goes out and strikes out 11 Yankees. It’s a fickle world in fantasy and it’s annoying as hell.
Here are five fantasy pitching teases that toy with me like I’m some chump little kid…..
Gio Gonzalez

It looks like this year Geo has finally righted the ship. Guy is throwing 2 out of 3 good games these days and that’s definitely a number fantasy owners should live with. But the walks are high and it just breaks your heart when he throws a stinker. Something tells me next year he might be in the top 80 overall. Mark those words.
Rich Harden

Just when you think it’s time to give up on Dick Harden the guy goes out there and throws a gem. There’s no disputing his talent and our long lusting for his days of old. Overall I’d say he’s done and I would stay away. However, when the guy throws that many strikeouts he lures you back in there.
Jonathan Sanchez

This guy was dynamite his first 10-12 starts. Then the walks appeared. Then he threw some awful mega run games. However, Sanchez seems to be finding a tad of consistency which might translate to a good year next year. But right now? You just never know when to put this guy on the mound.
Tim Lincecum

Clearly the dude is going through a rough patch and he really shouldn’t be on this list. However, you don’t NOT start Lincecum so at the current state he’s definitely a tease. Very very annoying.
Bronson Arroyo

Did you know this guy is ranked 127 in Yahoo! right now? Yes, 127. Amongst starting pitches? That’s VERY solid. And it seems every season he has a hot streak. And it seems every season he has one game where he lets up 7 runs in an inning and I always end up being the dude that started him that game.
