Y!Sports posted a high school football video last week that was probably one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen. That, of course, got me wondering about other dumb plays in the history of sports. If you read my articles, you know that I very rarely praise the intellectual capacity of athletes. Well, here’s living proof amigos….

1.) Premature High School Celebration

I apologize for making you watch this entire video, and listening to this news guy, but this is exactly what I am talking about. The poor kid. After the game, his cheerleader girlfriend probably bolted. Kudos to the other team for knowing the rules and staying in the game.

2.) The Scared Shitless Play

One more high school play. This just cracks me up. It’s like the guy was scared to death of the guys chasing him and wanted to get rid of the ball. He’s like the chump kid who gets rid of the ball immediately when you’re playing kill the carrier. This guy is basically telling his team to go screw themselves he’s trying to save himself. Hilarious.

3.) Letting Down Your Country

It’s hard to rip on some of these athletes because Lord knows I’ve had my share of brain farts in my life. You obviously have played soccer plenty, you play for your country, keep your head in the game!! No hands in soccer!

4.) Swing and a MISS

Maybe playing for your country IS tough! Maybe it’s hard to focus because you’re so nervous. Just a mistake you don’t want to make on a national setting. This is pretty bad.

5.) Oh Leon Lett.. Make it a Double

Fuckin Leon Lett. Jesus dude. You’re the guy attached forever to these two plays. God does that suck. All you can say is.. Fuckin Leon Lett.
