After reading about how the French soccer coach is making his boys learn the National Anthem it made me wonder what other athletes out there actually know their national anthems. I mean when you really think about it you just don’t know. We learn it from the stands. We kind of pick up the lyrics through the years.
But the only way to really know is looking at the sidelines to see if their mouthing the words. Or another way to know is if these guys actually got up to the podium to sing the damn thing.

The Infamous Carl Lewis Disaster
What’s even worse about this is that you can tell Lewis thinks he’s an awesome singer. It’s one thing to make fun of yourself. It’s another to try all those up and downs and other crap like real singers do. This is just plain embarrassing.

Well, he did try. But clearly this is a major case of rookie hazing going on right there.
