It’s been a big controversy over the past few days/months and honestly I just don’t see the big deal here with Reggie Bush being stripped of the Heisman. It’s not as if I’m a total moron and don’t understand why. It’s got nothing to do with how good a season he had in 2005. In fact I doubt anyone will argue he wasn’t the best football player in the nation that season.
It’s whether or not he was eligible to play due to his infractions. I’ve argued this before and I’ll argue it again. If Reggie Bush took a house, car and buckets of cash and was caught that’s one thing. The crap that he did? Give me a break. And yes I know it all falls under the same bucket but whatever. The amount of money these guys make for other people is gross.
And as Happy puts it in Blue Chips, “we owe it to ‘em!” Guy could get injured and never make the NFL, never get paid and what happens? Others still got rich while the rest of this guy’s life is in the shitter.
So if Reggie is stripped of his Heisman I get it but how about we give some things back to Reggie?
1. USC Should PayReggie a cut of whatever Millions They Made that Season

Bowl games, endorsements, you name it. Do you have any clue how much money Reggie Bush single handedly made for college football that season? We need some brain to figure this out but I’m sure it’s well into the 8 figures.
2. A Cut from USC Bars

How about the millions of dollars that bars were making every singe time Reggie Bush got on the field that season? You don’t think attendance was up on Saturdays? You don’t think an entire city was lifted a little because of how good the Trojans were?
3. Every Hot Chick that Banged a Dork

Yup. Think about it. Saturday games. People get drunk, tailgate and some lucky schmuck of a guy is getting to nail some hot chick when he has no right. Reggie is single now and deserves a piece. Not that the dude has trouble getting women but you know what I mean.
*How much money did Reggie Earn that season and what if his career ended because of some fluke accident? I guess it’s something to think about.
