Athletes make millions of dollars. Signing a contract for millions of dollars in itself make being a professional athlete a sweet career choice. Imagine if it just ended there. These guys were millionaires, they played a game, and you never saw or heard from them ever again. Well, of course, it doesn’t just end there. Aside from the money, being a professional athlete comes with a whole lot of perks. Here are 5 sweet perks (aside from money) that come with the territory of being a professional athlete.
1.) The Parties and Events
As an athlete you get invited to all the parties. You throw a party yourself and you’re blessed with a guest list full of celebrities. It’s not like football players hang out with just football players either. The sports cross over, and then you can even throw actors and musicians into the mix. You wanna see Eminem front row, you’re good. You’re VIP at all the Nightclubs, and the parties always look better than my Saturday night.
2.) The WAG’s
WAGs…. Wives and Girlfriends. You could be the ugliest dude going, but if you play a professional sport. You will land a hot chick. It’s that easy. A smoking hot chick, actually. Soccer players are notorious for this, but it happens in all sports.
3.) The Works When It Comes To “Help”
Every month what do you and your wife sit down and do? The budget and bills. Every night what do you or your wife have to prepare for yourself and children? Dinner. Every few days what do you have make sure is clean and prepared? Your laundry and suites. Well, when you are a professional athletes ALL of this stuff is done for you. Either through guys you hired or your team does it for you. Must be nice to not have to worry about that stuff.
4.) You’re Paid to Stay In Great Physical Condition
You have to workout. You have elite trainers preparing workouts for you so you stay in tiptop shape. This may help the WAG factor, but it must be sweet to have working out as part of your compensation.
5.) You Get to Play a Sport for A Living
This should go without saying, but you get to play a game for a living. A game that hundreds of thousands of people follow. It’s a little better than sitting in a cubicle all day. Not that there is nothing wrong with that, it’d would just be a little more fun to play baseball every night.
