US Captain Corey Pavin and European Captain Colin Montgomerie have put a blanket ban on all tweeting during the Ryder Cup. The logic being that the players will focus on the task at hand without any distractions. Montgomerie said,
We feel that tweeting and Facebook and all of these social sites can get one’s self into trouble,” Montgomerie said. “On Monday, Oct. 4, yes, you’ll find the team probably on social network sites. But not until then.
I can’t imagine anything really exciting could be tweeted during the Ryder Cup. Then again, Tiger Woods is going and we all know how he likes to get down.
Sports are a serious passion for most of us. Whether its Spring time and baseball is starting, or the start of Fall and football season we love our sports. Part of the reason we have this love is because it’s been passed down from generation to generation from father to son for years. Surely, your father or grandfather has told you stories of the major athletes they saw when they was younger, just like we will tell our children/grandchildren the same stories of athletes we saw during our day. Here are five modern athletes we are certain to tell stories about.
Everyone is saying the Carmelo Trade will happen within a week. It’s anybody’s real guess as to where he’ll truly end up but it does appear the Knicks could be a team he winds up at. Then again New York’s chances could be zero. Who the hell knows?
I do know that landing Melo would or shall I rephrase it “should” be a boost to the Knicks. However, given the last oh, million years, it just seems like bad karma to be on that team.
However, being a New York fan, I sure hope he winds up here. If he does, I can envision these five things happening….
