I’m tired of this story and it’s only been a day. Felix Hernandez won the Cy Young with 13 wins. For crying out loud, I know historically Cy Young Award winners had to have a lot of wins, but the other numbers aren’t even close. Felix was more dominant, and it wasn’t even close. a 2.27 ERA, 232 strikeouts, a 1.06 WHIP, the guy was just filthy. At least Tim Kurkjian took the time to explain how AWFUL Seattle’s offense was this year for him.
CC had 21 wins. David Price (who finished 2nd) had 19. The numbers are just too impressive to really get hung up on one category. Personally, I don’t think it’s that big of deal. John Maher stinks too!
