5 NBA Rookies Making Their Mark Early On

The NBA season is still pretty fresh. It is much too early to tell which draft picks are going to pan out and which are not. Just so we can keep tabs on some of the 2010 class, we’re going to take a look at who’s adjusting to the NBA early on. I did my research, and you’re going to pick up a theme. Listen, everyone knows I hate the coach, and hate the program, but I guess it may be the place to go if you want to get ready for the NBA.

Take a look at the 5 guys getting it done early….

(1) John Wall – Pick 1 – Washington Wizards

To the surprise of no one John Wall is making himself known early on. I’ll be honest, I thought Wall would be very good, but not this good. 18 ppg, 4 rpg, 10 apg, and steals. Guy is a stud

(2) Demarcus Cousins – Pick 5 – Sacramento Kings

Strong start for my favorite guy of all-time. 11 ppg and 6 rpg. Cousins getting it done early, giving the Kings optimism

(3) Eric Bledsoe – Pick 18 – LA Clippers

Maybe the biggest surprise so far. Bledsoe is going for 10 ppg, 4 apg. I doubted the guy, but like I said, Kentucky got him ready.

(4) Evan Turner – Pick 2 – Philadelphia 76ers

I loved Turner out of college. He’s never going to be a big time scorer but he does everything, including defend. His 9 ppg, 7 rpg, and 2 apg are only going to get better.

(5) Derrick Favors – Pick 3 – New Jersey Nets

Upside Upside Upside. The fact he’s already going for 8 ppg and 6 rpg is a very good sign. There is a lot to be optimistic about with this athletic freak.
