I’ve only vaguely heard about this story. My first thought was; an NFL player getting arrested, no surprise. My second thought was; this isn’t Plaxico Burress or Ray Lewis, this is some lowly rookie, who may not get the top lawyers in the business.

Cox faces Class 3 and 4 felonies for sexual assault. The length of this penalty is anywhere from 2 years to life. Hold on… you either get 2 years….. or life. This wouldn’t be a big deal if the dude was 94 years old, but he’s in his 20′s. That’s kind of a huge disparity isn’t it? Details on the case have not been released…

In other news, the NFL may suspend him 4 games for violating the personal conduct agreement. That’s good news right? Life in prison, but only a 4 games suspension in the NFL….. right
