The University of Connecticut’s Womens Basketball team are one win away from owning the longest winning streak in the history of college basketball. A streak that will have stretched over 2 years. Like it or not, there is no disputing the teams dominance. It’s impossible to fathom a men’s program ever coming close to that streak ever again.
The UCONN Women have not only won 88 straight games, they’ve dismantled opponents. That’s what makes the streak tough to swallow for avid college basketball fans. They’ve absolutely destroyed teams, and not once did the playing field seem remotely level. I, myself, have a tough time accepting the legitimacy of the streak, but how can you not? Teams have dominated the history of their sport before.
Maybe, just maybe other teams like Stanford, Tennessee, etc will land some recruits under the “end UCONN’s streak” premise. When Maya Moore leaves, it’s safe to assume next year it’ll be over. Yeah, next year.
The Holiday Season is right around the corner, and instead of a new sweater, I decided I want 5 things to happen in sports within the next calendar year. I can say with confidence that these 5 wishes aren’t just my personal wishes, but could be shared by a wide range of sports fans.

If you haven’t seen the show, you will soon know the young MMA fighter by his ridiculous knockout kicks. Particularly, the one shown above. Kid has a bright future in MMA and seems like a good dude. This shit is hard to follow, but if you look closely things start to get a little frisky. The guy goes from meeting, to phone sex, to cybering. If I caught it correctly the dude also said he just got out of jail. Things to do after getting out of jail, hope on World of Warcraft, find a female player, and try to have sex with her. Could quite possibly be the dumbest reasoning I’ve ever encountered. I could see how World of Warcraft can get you hot in the pants…. ummmm. Statistics show that every World of Warcraft player claims they have a “big dick, long and thick” like this clown.
Yao Ming was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot and is now out indefinitely. The 7 footer has been plagued with foot injuries the past few years, and this could be the last straw. He’s not missing limited time either, he’s missing years because of these injuries.
Yao Ming represented a door into the Far East for the NBA’s globalization efforts. He was a worldly star that represented dollar signs across the globe. Unfortunately, after initial success he just couldn’t stay healthy. It makes you wonder; Yao, Greg Oden, and many others have been plagued with injuries surely related to their size and the impact that has on their body. It’s not like the NBA is getting smaller. How the hell has Shaq played in the NBA for 18 years?? Granted he’s missed time, but it’s still pretty amazing.
Still, we gotta feel for Yao. It’s a shame, he’s great for the NBA.
Marla doesn’t get a lot of acting roles, which is a shame because she’s very cute and has a plus rack. She’s relatively unknown, but she’ll stay on the radar because of her quality.
