The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network had a little blip on the radar last weekend. During Marshawn Lynch’s 67 yard run late in the fourth quarter, the stadium got so loud it shook the ground. The seismic activity station located 100 miles west of the stadium recorded a small earthquake for about 30 seconds.
Who knew? The Seattle Seahawks have fans? Now everyone is talking about how Qwest Field is the toughest place to play. The Seahawks were 5-3 at home this year. They beat Carolina, San Fran, Arizona, St. Louis, and the Chargers(early in the season when they suck) at home. That’s a heck of an accomplishment. Good thing they go to Chicago, those fans aren’t loud, and that’s not a tough place to play.
Every sport, in it’s own unique way, exposes athletes to some potentially serious injury. Baseball; a fastball to the head. Basketball; shredding your knee. Football; a hit to the head that could do some serious damage. And then there is hockey. If the fact there is a frozen rubber puck being fired around the rink at high speeds isn’t risky enough, we also have to consider a razor sharp blade on everyone’s feet. Oh, and if that isn’t enough there’s checking into the boards and sticks.
Now that I think about this, my kids are not playing hockey. This is NO joke. Take a look at this collection of some horrible hockey injuries… You might want to use some discretion

I am not an Egyptian freestyling expert, but I think this is pretty good. I mean unless this guy is saying nonsense he seems to be with it. The beat boxing was tight right? I don’t know, maybe I was distracted by his dental situation.
Hey dudes….. Remember Erin Andrews. I use to really really like her, but I guess we broke up. Oh well. After the whole nudity in the hotel room situation, then banging that deuche from Dancing With the Stars it just didn’t really pan out to anything. Now when I see her on the sidelines it conjures up anger.. Nevermind about me. Check out EA, she’s still tight.
Donovan McNabb was run out of Philadelphia for not being able to win the big game. Although premature, Michael Vick is on the same path. After yesterday’s 21-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers, which ended on a Vick interception, Philadelphia fans are left saying, “Now what?”
Well, Vick’s stats were very solid, but so were Donovan’s. McNabb had some terrific statistical postseason games in the playoffs, but in the end him and Vick share the same fate; losers. Michael Vick brainwashed the city for a better part of 5 months. He led them to think it was a new era, and things were going to be different. And like I said, even though it’s premature, nothing has changed.
Let us not forget, Michael Vick didn’t win in Atlanta. A stay in jail probably didn’t change that. If Vick stays in Philly, he should be prepared to be treated like McNabb.
The first round of the playoffs are officially complete. If you rode the dogs you probably did pretty good. For those of you who didn’t, and need a cheer up this morning, Unathletic is going to try and conjure up a nice collection of sexy chicks who follow teams from the first round. For the record, I am becoming a fan of Aaron Rodgers. Also for the record, if the Jets win I am going to puke my balls out of my mouth.
