Preseason MLB MVP Predictions!

Posted by Nortyin MLB

Less than one more week my friends and baseball begins. I know it’s not as exciting as March Madness or the start of football, but it’s a favorite time for some. It also means warm weather is around the corner….

It’s become somewhat of a tradition here at Unathletic where we predict MLB awards before the season starts. All in all, my picks are on point. I think I had one lemon last year when I predicted Don Wakamatsu to win Manager of the Year in the AL. Other than that I’m money with my picks…

Take a look at my top 3 Picks for the AL and NL MVP….

National League MVP

(3) Ryan Braun – OF – Milwaukee Brewers

I’m ready to take the plunge. His home run numbers were down last year, but he’s showing durability. I’m ready to predict .300 average, 35 HRs, 125 RBIs, 110 Runs, and 20 SBs. Guy’s a beast.

(2) Hanley Ramirez – SS – Florida Marlins

I hate the guy, but I’m buying in. I’m buying in because I think the Florida Marlins are A LOT better than people think. He’s got talent around him. I expect a monster year, and a lot of success in Florida. He’s 27 it’s time.

(1) Joey Votto – 1B – Cincinnati Reds

Say hello to the new beast of the National League. This guy is a flat out stud. I know, I know Pujols. Something has to give there. Votto takes home the title. His numbers are going to get better this year.. Scary.

American League MVP

(3) Alex Rodriguez – 3B – NY Yankees

I like the new slimmer A-rod. He’s said this is the first offseason he’s been able to actually work out work out. So I’m buying in. I don’t believe this is his decline. I expect one more big one.

(2) Dustin Pedroia – 2B – Boston Red Sox

The little man is back! I think he’s stays healthy and is the beneficiary of that fat lineup. He’s been down this road before. Staying healthy he could score a ton of runs.

(1) Robinson Cano – 2B – New York Yankees

Two 2nd baseman! I know it’s crazy!! I’m taking the gamble that Cano takes the next step, and that next step is the MVP. Kid’s a freekin’ talent.
